Hike / Event full information 👇
We are going for the medium difficulty Hike to the Beautiful Town Rascafría. Main objective of this hike is to escape from Madrid and spend time next to the waterfall, Perfect place for Sun bath or you can try a dip in the natural water or to practice your Swimming. The waterfall is only 8km away from our bus stop at rascafria town. we will walk & hike in total 16 KM round trip. we will stay next to the waterfall for 3 to 4 hours aprox.There are a lot of tree shades and place for sun bath, spots for sun bathing and a big space for swimming and to do Picnic in the fresh air. we will start the hike after a coffee or breakfast at Rascafria town. at the end of hike we will grab some drinks.

This medium difficulty hike is 16km long with 223m of elevation change.
maximum altitude 1.373m. We’ll take‪ 6 around ‬hours to walk it. The path is a mix of single track and wider trails. There are few steep and slippery sections. Walking Steps Aprox 24000.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How to get there

By Bus: we are going by bus. meet us at intercambiador de plaza castilla ( underground bus station of plaza de Castilla) at 7:30am. For departure at 7:45 AM. Bus to Rascafria, Bus Number 194 Daresena 35 Nivel -1. One way cost 5,10€ and you pay to the bus driver. The bus does not accept card payment. You have to bring change of 5€ or 10€. If you have abono joven then the bus trip is Free.

IMPORTANT: on Saturday only one bus is going to this Direction in the morning, so please be on time. our coming back bus to Madrid is at 20:30, Aprox 22:30pm we will be in Madrid.

By Cars:
You can Drive by car. Park your car in the center at Rascafria. we will meet you in front of Casa Juanito Restaurant between 10:15 am to 10:30am. You can share your car with other people of the Group for fuel Contribution. For Sharing your car and fuel expences (5€ round trip per person) please leave your whatsapp number, Time, point of meeting in the comments or in chat of this Hike.
Offer for Car Owners: If you drive 4 people of the group to rascafria from madrid, The Car owner will be not paying event fee (10€).

It is necessary to Bring Hiking shoes, Swim Wear ( in case you like to swim), extra pair of socks, your Lunch and 1.5L water (minimum). Snacks, Sun protection Cream, Summer Cap, sun glasses and a light jacket or jersey.

The Charges are 10€. Pay in cash on event day. Incluid Hike guide and organize event.
if you want insurance, It is possible to arrange a personalized accident insurance for only 5€ providing name, surname and ID/Passport Number.

1. if you signup for any event, and at any moment you feel that you are not able to make it, Then please Mark your Spot as not joining. so other person can take your Spot. if you ignore this rule, you may not able to join any Future event.
2. we publish our event photos at our social media Accounts. such as instagram, facebook. we respect everyone privacy. if you don’t want to be in the Photos, please let us know at the start of event.
3. All our hiking events are lead by experience hiking guide, who sets the pace of the group, stops, etc. The Guide have the Right to block the person from the Group in case of misbehave, bad vibes or messing with other members of the Group.
4. All our events are accessible by Madrid Public Transport. We do not offer any type of Travel or Accident insurance.
