What to know before you book

Madrid has real English-friendly hiring in tech, shared services, consulting, finance, tourism, teaching and remote-first teams — but “English-speaking job” is not automatic. Many offices still need Spanish for clients, HR paperwork or day-to-day teamwork.

Start with your work-authorisation story. EU/EEA/Swiss citizens can usually work without a separate permit and still need NIE/EU registration and Social Security affiliation through the employer. Non-EU candidates typically need a residence-and-work route; state your status clearly on applications so HR is not surprised at offer stage.

Use LinkedIn for international and Easy-Apply roles, InfoJobs for local volume, Indeed to aggregate company sites, EURES for EU mobility, and SEPE for official public-employment information. Then treat search like a weekly system: alerts, tailored applications, and short networking messages.
