Hike / Event full infomation 👇

we will start the Hike from Puerto de Navacerrada (ski station) we will be passing by few small rivers and will follow one of the best sections of trail in Madrid. The Schmidt Trail is a mountain path that connects the Puerto de Navacerrada with the Peñalara Royal Spanish Mountaineering Society Lodge. It was marked by Eduardo Schmidt in 1926. ( Schmid of German origin, although many say he was Austrian or Swiss, the Foreign mountaineer who settled in Spain is a character with a lot of mystery). The official name of this trail is PR-M-5, and it goes between the Scots pine forests of Valsaín, on the north slope, and Cercedilla on the south.

Difficulty: Medium Lever. but you must be physically fit for Hiking in the Mountain.

Hike Type: Loop

Maximum altitude: 1.953 m.

Minimum altitude: 1,749 m.

Elevation change: 511m.

Leaving Madrid: 8:45am

Total hike: 13km. Steps aprox: 22000

Coming back same day: We will take the bus from puerto de navacerrada at 16:30 or 17:30pm.

We are meeting at underground Moncola Bus Station. find us at Isla 2, Dársena 21, BUS 691 at 08:30AM for the 08:45AM departure.

Please bring change or a 5€ or 10€ bill for the bus driver. 10.20€ round trip on the bus. The bus is free if you have the abono joven and reduced if you have an abono for outside the center!

BY CAR: You can drive by car and meet us at puerto de navacerrada at 10:15am Aprox at Restaurante Dos Castillos.

It is necessary to bring hiking or sports shoes, Comfy clothes, warm Jacket in the backpack in case it gets colder. Summer cap and sun screen. Your lunch and 1.5L water (minimum).

in case of Rain we are not going to cancel this event. please bring rainy jacket or a small umbrella.

The Charges are only 10€. Cash in hand on hike Day. The Price includes only Hike guide and event organizing.

if you want insurance, It is possible to arrange a personalized accident insurance for only 5€ providing name, surname and ID/Passport Number.

2. we publish our event photos at our social media Accounts. such as instagram, facebook. we respect everyone privacy. if you don’t want to be in the Photos, please let us know at the start of event.

3. All our hiking events are lead by experience hiking guide, who sets the pace of the group, stops, etc. The Guide have the Right to block the person from the Group in case of misbehave, bad vibes or messing with other members of the Group.

4. All our events are accessible by Madrid Public Transport. We do not offer any type of Travel or Accident insurance.
